THE ROLE

This is a unique opportunity to join our Jindabyne Data and Analytics team. Jindabyne is the business led, cloud-based data and analytics capability. It includes the development of Origin's Virtual Power Plant (VPP). The VPP is Origin’s central, cloud-based data and analytics capability managed by the Energy Markets Data and Analytics team. It collects data and makes control decisions for thousands of distributed energy assets while also hosting reporting and analytics for the platform.

We are calling out all Python Developers who are keen to contribute to the success of Future Energy technology initiatives by ensuring a performant and consistent architecture across development projects. You will actively contribute to solution design, Implementation and build for critical projects.

Your responsibilities will include;

• Design, implement and support complex applications and data integration solutions using advanced cloud based technologies.
• Work directly with teams to manage the delivery of solutions for data integration, production and analytics in business critical applications and solutions.
• Work directly with teams to manage the delivery of solutions for data integration, production and analytics in new and innovative data driven customer solutions.
• Design, implement and support complex applications and data integration/ process solutions using advanced cloud based technologies.
• Design, implement and support new and improved capabilities and build out web interfaces.
• Provide advanced second and third level technical guidance and support for platform and technologies.

IS THIS YOU?

You’ll need to be agile, analytical and astute with excellent problem solving and communication skills.

To be considered you will have;

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, self motivated and work well within teams.
• A passion for complex software development using Python.
• Experience in developing, maintaining and interacting with web API’s, FAST Api preferred.
• Working knowledge of RDBMS principles and strong SQL skills.
• Some experience with AWS cloud.
• Experience orchestrating ETL jobs and a good understanding of ETL frameworks including error handling.
